During a mass shooting in Tallahassee just before midnight Saturday one person was killed and eight injured. An armed man also was shot by police. Details are still coming out asthe Tallahassee Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit continues its investigation.

What happened Saturday night?
Police were controlling crowds of hundreds of people Saturday nightin the West Pensacola Street area, near the Florida State University campus,when "multiple individuals within the crowds" began shooting near Half Time Liquors and Los Compadres, according to a TPD press release.
More than 40-50 gunshots were fired, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.
Police pursuedone suspected gunman, according to a Facebook post from the TPD, and apprehended him.That man and two others have been arrested. Police said the other two arrests were unrelated but investigations are ongoing as to their possible involvement.

Officers found one gunshot victim at Half Time Liquors and immediately began rendering lifesaving aid, according to the release. "The victim, an adult male, sadly succumbed to his injuries on scene," police said.
Several friends identified the man killed as Demario “Ro” Murray and expressed condolences.
Police have not yet identified Murray, though "the deceased subject is not believed to have been an active participant in the shooting incident," read a probable cause affidavit.
Leon County Commissioner Nick Maddox knew Murray because his daughters danced at Maddox’s wife’s studio, the Maddox Youth Dance Company. Thelongstanding relationship“makes (Murray) and his family our family,” Maddox wrote in a Facebook post Sunday.

Five other men and three women in the crowdwere shot and taken to local hospitals fortreatmentofinjuries ranging from minor to serious, according to TPD spokesperson Heather Merritt.
Additionally, Cannon was shot by police. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and the officers who shot the suspect have been placed on administrative leave, per protocol. Cannon remains in a local hospital, according to a Monday morning update from the TPD.
Where did the Tallahassee mass shooting take place?
There were multiple incidents along West Pensacola Street, police said, at Half Time Liquors, located at 2101 West Pensacola Street, and Los Compadres, located at 2102 West Pensacola Street. The area is near FSU's campus and athletic complex.
"It's one large incident," Tallahassee Police Chief LawrenceRevellsaid."Several locations involved in this incident, but yes, we believe it is one isolated incident."
Has anyone been arrested for the Tallahassee mass shooting?
Three men who were taken into custody in connection withthe weekend mass shooting havebeen charged by police.
De’Arius Cannon,shot by TPD officers after he was seen"shooting into a large crowd,"has been arrested for attempted second-degree murder, carrying a concealed firearm unlicensed and resisting officers without violence, according to the TPD.
William Thomas, 23, faces eight out-of-county warrants and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, TPD wrote in an incident alert.
Tamylon Williams, 26, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled substance.
The investigation into their involvement in the shooting incidentremains ongoingand additional charges are possible, according to TPD.

What weapons were used in the Tallahassee mass shooting?
Court records reveal a chain of events from the night, which was captured on surveillance camera.
A short time after the shooting, police pulled video footage from Half Time Liquors and saw a man "in a red jacket, black shirt and light-colored jeans" with a "barrel of a rifle protruding downward from inside his jacket," read court records.
"Just before the shooting begins, the (man) walks toward Pensacola St in the northwest corner of the parking lot," an arrest affidavit said. "The crowd can be seen reacting to the gun shot and appear to run away from where the (man) in the red jacket walked."
The video footage then shows the front windows of Half Time Liquors shattered by gunfire as people flee the area.
Shortly after the gunfire ceases, the man in a red jacket and two others areseen entering a silver Hyundai Elantra parked in a space.
"The subject then places what is obviously a long-barreled firearm into the back seat of the vehicle before driving it away," court records read. "The firearm is identifiable as an AK-variant rifle."
Within two hours of the shooting, TPD officers tracked the car to a gas station on North Monroe Street.
There, they found Thomas and Williams, who matched the "height, weight, skin tone, and clothing to the subject wearing a red jacket concealing the AK-variant rifle," according to records.
Inside the vehicle, detectives found a rifle matching the AK-variant, an "AR-15 styled pistol" and ared jacket "identical" tothe one seen on surveillance video.
The pair were subsequently interviewed by police.
