I was very weary when enlisting in the Air Force. Enlisting in the Air Force was the best career choice I ever made. The personal growth that I had while in and the beautiful mark i have on my resume forever has set me up for success. The leadership experience earned and the work ethic reinforced has made me very successful today. I am no longer in the military due to family choices, however, I am still reaping benefits from my service that ended 4 years ago. The one thing I recommend is to research your career choice prior to enlisting, ensure you review your contract for all agreed upon items, and understand that there is risk in everything.
Pros and Cons
Leadership experience, work ethic reinforcement, ability to respond logically under times of stress
Possibly hazardous work

You can’t go wrong if you take advantage of all the benefits especially the education. You will grow personally and professionally without a doubt, but you have to work for it. I started without a care, education or skill. Now I’m retired (age 53) from the military and another government job. I made lots of money and now living a prosperous life. Stop looking for short cuts! Go out there and earn your keep. Just jump and do it!!
